After many years of near misses, I'd all but given up. Midway through winter league nothing much to shout about...... Then our winter 12th came 161 yard par three ,water 6ft left all way from tee to green. Pulled out the favourite 6 iron pitched it 4ft right of the very sloping green ,and yip you guessed it nobody saw it go in. Too much low sun , but when I eventually picked up the courage to look in the hole. What a rush, I nearly threw my clubs into the water at the greens edge. Wow wow wow .
