Went out for a friendly competition with another couple at Shortlands Golf Course. On the afternoon of Saturday February 4th we decided to play the back 9, and had an alright start, and was just enjoying my home course. On the 11th, a 124 yard par 3, I hit a lovely shot with my Titleist 8 iron and could see it flew over the trees and landed nicely on the green. A beautiful shot. But with a bunker and a tree, the view of the hole is obstructed. It wasn’t until we walked onto the green and couldn’t see my ball that I started to realise it might be in the hole. As the four of us approached the anticipation built and we began celebrating when we saw the ball in the hole. We found the pitch mark, and the ball hit the green and would have spun back into the hole. What an amazing day!!!
