  1. I had played golf for 40 and never had a hole in one. Until last year. I decided I wanted to play golf with my sons on Father's Day. I picked up Lincoln and Collin and we headed to a rural track in Eastern Kentucky called, Indian Creek in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. It was called by locals "The Acorn's". The weather was perfect for golf. We played the first hole, an uneventful par 5 and went to the par 3 second. An uphill hole, 198 yards. I took out a 3 iron and hit a screamer that never got 25 feet off the ground, not a great shot and not what I planned to hit. The ball landed in front of the green and rolled up on it coming in hot. I thought it was going over so I quit looking and walked back to the cart. My youngest son Collin said, Dad that just hit the flag stick. Well I had done that before, I looked up on the green and couldn't see anything so I assumed it went off the green. We all hit and drove up to the green...no ball on it. We looked all around the green and only found their balls. Collin said, "I am going to check the hole just to make sure". When he looked in he hole he shouted, "Dad, what kind of ball did you hit?" I said, "A Titelist ProV1". He screamed, "It's in the hole!" He has a history of being a prankster so I had to check for myself to make sure he wasn't kidding me. And sure enough...there it was. My fist and only hole it one...on Father's Day, with my sons. It was well worth the wait. I wouldn't have wanted it any other way! We will never forget that day! Thanks.
