  1. I had a late tee time on Oct. 3rd, 2022 at Los Angeles Country Club North where the US Open will be held this year. First time every playing here. True bucket list course. We always meet my family at Forest Lawn cemetery to pay tribute to our late mother. I looked at my brother and asked, "What if I get a hole in one today?" Well, on the #9 hole, Par 3, 170 yards I hit the purest 6 iron of my life, where you do not even feel it off the center of the face. It never left the pin, it was so straight you had to step to the side see it pitch about 10 yards before the cup and trickle in. My caddie runs up to higher ground and shoots it with a range finder and yells, "It's in the hole!" I look at Jose, and say, "Don't f@ck with me, Jose!" Granted this place is very strict, no cell phones, pants only and I didn't want to get my member in trouble. I sprinted across the bridge and sure enough it was in the hole. Two other caddies and members saw it go in. The pro shop staff came out to congratulate me. I felt like a celebrity for a day! I thought I was going to get offered an honorary membership or something. A shopping spree in the pro shop and double shot, Don Julio Cadillac margaritas presumed. $1000 later, I would do it all over again. The hair on my arms stands up when I tell the story. My mother and angel in Heaven gave me a new memory to cherish when this date comes around. Golf saved me and was meant to be my outlet during the darkest of times. I'm meant to be on golf course. I love you, Mom! I was really hoping for a Hole in one case, I saw you sent one of my friends. Thanks for letting me tell my story.
