After having played golf for over fifty years this was my first ace. I play for the love of the game and spending time with good friends rather than necessarily my score. I must admit however it felt good putting an ace on the score card. It happened at the Country Club of Miami, the ninth hole. From the tee the distance to the flag was 162 yards. I used a 7 iron and after a couple of hops the ball disappeared. I wasn’t convinced it had gone in until I reached the green. This will be a memory for life.
