Skybrook in the Charlotte NC area was the scene of this one. Picturesque par 3 # 16 protected by short left side water and a middle bunker protecting a slightly elevated green. Played 166 yards according to my Garmin watch. Considering a slight breeze I grabbed my 6 iron. Immediately the line of the shot was directly in line, i was happy to think I would be on the green. Well surprise surprise it hit the green and rolled directly for the hole…..After a bit I figured it was past the hole and only appeared to be close. We all know that feeling then you approach and find that you are 12 ft passed the hole, right. So thinking this, I bent down to grab my tee and my 3 buddies started screaming saying “it’s a hole in hole!!!!” I looked up and the little white image was gone. Surely a surprise and a pleasant one at that.
