It took 33 years of playing golf to card my first "hole in one". I played with Allen Crowder at Grapevine Golf Course in Grapevine TX on Sunday, June 11, 2023. This lasting memory occurred on hole 4 of the Bluebonnet 9 which was playing 174 yards, par 3, to a front flag location. Stroked a nice baby draw that bounced twice before rolling onto the green. I just assumed it would be a routine 2 putt for par. Once we got to the green I didn't see the ball and assumed that it rolled off. We briefly searched for the ball when Allen said "it must be in the hole". I jumped for joy, chest bumped Allen and high fived my way to the hole 5 tee box. A bucket list memory that will never 'fade'.
