I was asked to play in a 4 man charity golf tournament at my local golf club the day before the tournament. Going into the round I hadn’t played in a week due to vacation, so I went to play nine the day before. We started off strong being -6 through 7 holes. The next hole was a short par four and I knew I could get it there. I shot the distance as 216 and moved a little behind the tee box knowing I had to be super easy. Naturally, I hit my driver pretty high so I knew if I could just do that I’d be good. As soon as I hit it, I knew it was right at the pin. From the tee I had no clue it went in I knew it was in or way over the green. We went to the green and began heading to the back to see if I went over. One of the guys in my group was fixing my divot and we asked him jokingly if it was in the hole. He took one small step forward and said “there’s a ball in the hole.” He reached in the hole and it was mine. We went on to shoot 49 (-21) for the day!
