I was introduced to the game by my father when I was 8. I bought my first set of clubs (used) when I was twelve and began to keep score on 'Caddy Days' at Avon Oaks Country Club. Over the decades I have come close a few times. Today that changed ... for the first time.
I retired a few years ago and for the last three years have played regularly in the Sweet Swinging Seniors Golf League as well as one other resident league. All in all I generally play 54 holes most weeks from May through September.
Today, 6/30/23, the SSS GL was playing at Chenoweth Golf Course in Akron Ohio. A group of us played 18 and on #15, with a clear view of the green and pin, I teed off 4th and the ball landed softly short of the pin and rolled into the cup at putting speed.
My father never had one. I dedicated this one, my first hole-in-one to his memory.
Thanks Dad
