I live in a 55+ retirement golfing community in Ocala, Florida. I play every day that the weather allows. Wednesdays are our Men’s Golf Association day and on June 28th of 2023 it was Beat The Pro day. Things were going along kinda average for me, a few par’s here and a few bogey’s there, until I reached the par 5 fifth hole on our Tortoise and Hare course. I hit a really good drive, got to the ball and had 106 yards left to the pin. I pulled my 52 degree wedge and hit. While in the air, I said, “Be right!” It was, one hop and in! Definitely helped me beat the pro! Now if I can only pay the bar bill. What a great day, what a shot! Still can’t believe it!
