Playing at Greystone Golf course in White Hall, MD as part of our Monday Cherries League, I was on number 3 par 3. Pin was about 140 yards, play about 130 downhill but it is almost all carry to the hole over a hundred yards of grass and marsh. The shade was covering the left side of the sloping forward green and the flag, so when I hit a crisp 8 iron I first thought it was over the green, but it hit about 6 feet beyond the flag and backed up. We heard the cling. My buddy Gary saw it drop and then I did the same! What a surreal feeling after 24 years and nearly 2000 rounds to get your first ace. My Titleist AVX didn't let me down!
