Hey TT, I just returned home from sunny southern California to a sloppy, frozen but thawing mess in South Central New York State. On Friday March 6th, I went for my scheduled fitting at the Scotty Cameron Putter Studio in Encinitas, California. My Marine Corp son lives in Oceanside, CA so the ride was a short one to the Studio. Upon arrival, my son and I were greeted warmly and since I was early, we were offered to look around the gallery for a bit and ask any questions of the staff that arose. When it was time to get down to the process at hand, Senior Fitter, Joseph Farrow had me start with stroking a few 20 footers with a similar putter to the one I currently use. I play a Newport 2.6 center shafted putter. Once we got down to business, he explained all about the floor covering and its proprietary nature then he turned on all the cameras and we started the fitting in earnest. I had noticed in my warm up that all of my putts were missing 6" - 8" to the right and the cameras showed that my putter face never closed through the impact zone! Joseph explained in detail about path, arc, toe flow and length. What I learned about my putter stroke is that I had a good one! Consistent in its arc and consistently open through impact. I was then instructed to try different style putters of different weight and lengths till we came to a putter that when I let the stroke occur in my natural rhythm and arc, I dropped putt after putt consistently!! My newest purchase will be a Scotty Golo 3 come the April 3rd release date!!!! I almost bought the prototype that I used during the fitting because I was so overwhelmed with it all! What I want most is to tell everyone that this experience is worth absolutely every penny. I had a club fitting back in 2011 at TPI and I though that it would never be rivaled in value but this fitting did all of that and more for a left eye blind golfer with cataracts in both eyes. Much appreciation for the opportunity to experience a real tour feel. Ps., I missed Adam Scott by a few weeks getting fitted for his short stick. Thank you Joseph Farrow and the Scotty Cameron Staff.

Great review Barry. Reading about the Scotty Cameron putter fitting experiences on Team Titleist is making ti hard to resit the urge top head West for a fitting.

I went for the full treatment on December 26th, sort of X-Mas present to me.

Joey did my fitting as well, and it was like all things Scotty; top shelf. I had both my Cameron putters with me, and Joe focused on my weekly gamer, the California Delmar from '09. It's as reliable as they come, but I had been losing confidence with her.

The good news was that contact was very solid, but the set up was off a bit. Plus we made a subtle yet very effective adjustment to the loft and lie angles. When all was done, the roll was very pure and the confidence was restored!

This facility is a "must do" if you ever come to SoCal. Easy for me since I live here, but well worth the trip no matter where you come in from.

Hope to see you out here soon Tyler!

Joey and Spencer are atop their game when it comes to fitting.. It's a stress-free fitting and no hard sell for purchases.

I am headed there in July to see my son graduate from the navy and plan on a stop there. I was just curious as to how much the fitting is and if I were to purchase a high end putter afterwards would the cost of fitting be applied to the purchase. Thank you I have a go lo 3 and a jet setter h-12 but always wanted a true circle T possibly Newport super rat if it fits my stroke. Only reason why I haven't purchased one yet is no one truly can tell me what is the best style for my stroke around here in upstate New York. Before I spend $3,000 I would like a true professional fitting.
  6. I agree with everyone else here...did a fitting last fall and it was interesting to learn that my loft and lie specs needed major adjustments.  Spencer did my fitting and I agree with Randy there was no hard sell for additional purchases...just great consulting about my putting stroke and the equipment!

Worth checking out if you have been on the fence.
