I have a Pro Platinum Newport 2 Mid slant which I got in 2004, despite trying out other putters it always finds it"s way back to the bag. (Someday I guess I'll learn) I have tried a variety of grips on her, the original, a red cord Titleist, Pistolero and finally a png Midsize cord. I have two suggestions

    1.  Bring back the Mid slant

    2. Offer a corded midsize or corded Pistolero/Pistolini grip.

    That's all

    I second Dustin's first motion!

I also have a used, VERY beat up PP Newport Mid Slant (see the attachments).  The previous owner must not have used a headcover!  Even with the PP finish, it has significant rust.

If I remember correctly, the last production Mid Slant was the Studio Select series, around 2008.  Is it time to bring it back?

That putter has been abused. It is not right for such a work of art to be treated in that way.

However if you find that you love and that works for you. Keep using it. There is no need for a new one if the old one is not broken.

Joshua - I agree; much abuse!  I've made a few putts with it, though.  It is probably time to get it restored.

You should really do that. Restoration of something you love is easier to finding a new love.

I would certainly think about getting it restored in the off season
  7. dustin t,Sounds to me like you have found "the one". Treat her good and she will be good to you. I just love it when the unplanned plan comes together!!!! steve b
