Making the switch to a Scotty Cameron

    I currently play a Cleve. Classic HB Black Pearl. I am itching to get a new putter and finally have enough money to get a Scotty. I was wondering if any of you guys have made the switch from a Cleve. Classic to a Scotty? If so, what putter plays similarly to the one I currently have?

    Hey Christian,

    I've never played with a Cleve. Classic but looking at the pics, i think a Newport or Monterey putter may be close to it.  I currently game a Newport and LOVE it. 

    I would go to a local shop that carries Scotty putters and try them out or see if there's a Titleist demo coming around your area to play around with.

    Christian, just roll a few putts on a green with a SC Putter (maybe try a couple different styles than what you use now) and you will be amazed!

    Thanks for the help. After looking around and testing a few different ones, I think I am going to go with the Newport 2

    I just switched to my first Scotty (fastback select) and couldn't be happier....took a little getting used to the speed coming from a soft insert odyssey, but it rolls great

    Iused to have a Cleveland years ago, matter of fact your story sounds similar to mine. I made the move to a newport 2.5 35" and have not looked back. i did change the grip out to a Flatso 30 and put crosshanded.
