    Hi Team Titleist,

Is it possible if I order through Titleist custom a SC Select Newport 2 putter with 36" or 37" length?

    Thank you,

    Kalambay.

  2. Hi Kalambay,

At the factory, we are able to build a Newport 2 putter to 36 inches. If your preferred length is 36.5" or 37" you will need to arrange this adjustment through the Scotty Cameron Custom Shop, and here is a link with a complete list of options: http://www.scottycameron.com/custom-shop/

    Chris,

There are 2 x 10 grams weight on the 35 inches Newport 2 putter, if I order the 36 inches do Titleist change the weight to 2 x 5 grams or still the same 2 x 10 grams ones?

    Thank you,

    Kalambay.

  5. Hi Kalambay,

If you send your putter to the Custom Shop for this service you will need to request three things: the re-shaft to your desired length, a new grip, and the recommended 5 gram weights. All of this can be done on the Scotty Cameron website.

    Hi Chris,

What I meant is if I order through Titleist Custom not the Scotty Custom since the putter length is 36 inches because you said at Titleist factory the maximum length you can build is 36 inches putter. What I just realized is the longer the shaft the lighter the weight, that's why I asked are you going to change the weight to 2 x 5 grams.

I think it will be a waste if I order from Scotty Custom and not get a fully custom putter (stampings, weight engraving, etc.). Unfortunately, it will takes a little bit of time for me to design a fully custom putter of my own but I'll definitely do this for sure.

    Thank you,

    Kalambay.

  7. Hi Kalambay,

We will be able to build the putter to 36 inches at the factory, but the lightest weights available are 10 grams. If you want to install the 5 grams weights to lower the swing weight you will need to arrange this through the Custom Shop.

    Hi Chris,

I also want to order SC Select Roundback 34 inches as a gift for my father. The thing is he likes the oversize grip on his putter and I'm thinking installing Matador Red oversize on his putter. Since the grip is getting heavier than standard, to keep the feel of the putter head should the weight on the putter head also change to the heavier ones perhaps? i.e. 20 grams, 25 grams, 30 grams. What is the heaviest weight available at Titleist factory?

    Thank you,

    Kalambay.

  9. Hi Kalambay,

The Matador Oversized grip is the lightest option in the Matador line to avoid this very issue, so you would not need to order heavier weights to maintain swing weight. We are able to install 10, 15, and 20 gram weights at the factory.

  10. I play a 36.25" SC Putter...the way I do it is this...goto Scotty Cameron Custom Shop website and enter my order then go through my Titleist vendor and order the SC Putter (if I do not have it in my possession) and give them the SC Custom shop order number and have them ship it to the SC Custom Shop.

Once the putter is completed, the SC Custom Shop ships it to me and I am to save some time and money on shipping in the process!  Understand that you may need to have 5 gram sole weights installed since the swingweight will be very high at these longer lengths!

    I hope this helps!

    Good Luck!

    Chris,

Thank you for the tip. I've been wondering how to order without having it on your possession and sending it first to SC Custom Shop. If its works, it's true your way will save time and money.

    Kalambay.
