Bought a nice new Golo 3, customized it exactly how I want it. I hit one down at the Oceanside TPI practice green and really liked it, but maybe I should've checked on what weights were in there???

I have no confidence with it and it doesn't feel right. I've played with it for about 3 months now and cannot find a groove with it. I have hit some good putts, but it never feels right. My previous putters were all blades. The one at Oceanside was weighted, so if you balanced the end of the shaft, the putter would stay flat (face up to sky), but on mine, the toe falls. (not sure if that makes sense and not sure if that would make any difference in my feel).

How long is long enough to give a new putter a chance? Any suggestions appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hey B.A.

I'm with you on this. I tried out the GoLo 3 last year and I liked it. So I found a used one online w/ my specs (did not get fitted but tried out a few at a local Titleist demo and found the one i liked) Anyways after I bought it, I probably played about 4-5 rounds with it and also practiced a little. For some reason I just didn't like it. I wasn't rolling the ball as well as my Newport's. Not only that, it was killing my score.

So I went back to my Newport Select and I was back to normal.

So I gave it 4-5 rounds and then it was gone... I now know i'm a blade guy...

    Live and learn...

I think in my opinion once you start to doubt your choice it's the beginning of the end ... Unless you start dropping putts I have gone back to the Newport's after thinking I was missing something by not playing a mallet I think it's what suits you and very important your eye at address

If you don't like the feel of it and have no Confidence in the putter then Move On from it and put your old one back in the bag......... no need to keep tweaking it to hopefully make work. Try another Scotty or put your gamer back in the bag!

I would take it to the local fitting center and try to figure out the weighting with someone who knows what there doing. Then it that don't work it would be time to move on.
  7. I am not aware of ANY golo 3 that is face balanced...this model is designed to have the maximum amount of toe flow in the line up. Is it possible you tried a different putter?? Just a thought...

On another note, putting is about confidence so if you do not have it in your current putter I would consider investigating another model...

    IMHO

Like everyone else has been saying, if you have no confidence in it, it's probably time to change. At this point it might be a good idea for you to get either a lesson from a PGA pro and/or a putter fitting. It's possible something changed in your stroke. But more than likely, the putter isn't the best fit for your stroke.
