A few weeks ago I was hanging at a buddy's house and he had a few Scotty's lying around.. So myself and another buddy of mine figured we practicing our putting and have a little contest.. This one putter caught my eye and absolutely LOVED IT. I was given more details the next day and it was my mission to get one. You see, I'm a HUGE fan of Scotty's old putters.. Went online and a few days later, she arrived... Can't tell you HOW happy I am with this putter...

Not sure on year, 1997-1998 Newport 2, "the art of putting". 35" shaft... And the feel when I putt this thing... Could be a gamer for sure...

    Attached are a few pics...

Wow Christopher H., your way out of my league. I'm still trying to get a full set of irons in my bag. A few Scotty's lying around? I can't even imagine having one. God bless you. Enjoy them. I'll keep playing the lottery. LOL!

    Chris,
Nice addition to your collection. It's amazing how you can pick up a putter and it just feels perfect.....certainly boosts the confidence and all of a sudden your dropping putts like crazy.

Sweet looking putter. I am a fan of the Newport style putters. I have a Newport 2 Studio Style and a Newport 2 Notchback Select. That is my limit. I love his putters, but I still believe it is more the Indian than the arrow, but it pays to have good arrows.

The putter is not the issue.....you might end up with a couple of these but then comes the headcovers, first the stand releases and then the addiction of the FUTO's / CT's....I thought the investment in my holy grail 1.5 Weldy Super Rat was a big one but the 100+ OTR's and almost 50 FUTO's headcovers made an even bigger dent in the bank balance....a few favourites attached.

Awesome collection, I have 3 already and only had my Newport 2 for 4 months. Waiting for the limited edition Open championship 2014 cover at the moment, as I'm from the area. That will be it though........ Until May haha

Just picked up a 2015 Model Newport 2 Select 35". Got a great deal on a demo model with the new models coming out and but decided to sell my Newport 2 studio style to my brother in law for my nephew. This will be his first Scotty. Figures, I only need to keep two active putters in my collection. I have always favored the plumbing neck and had gotten away from that with my Notchback putter. Just need to change out the grip to a midsize and the world will be right. Thank you Titleist.
