  1. Hey all,

I bought a Scotty Cameron Counterbalance GOLO last summer to replace my Scotty Newport 2, but I went back to the Newport 2, and now I have this extra putter just sitting around. I'm interested in cutting it down to a normal length and potentially substituting it in for my current putter. If I were to cut it down, 1) would a normal grip fit on the shaft (because it is a different width), and 2) would the weighting me messed up enough that it would affect my stroke? I can always add or take away weight using removable weights.

    Thanks, Andrew

Yes a normal grip will fit. I have done it lots of times. As for weights you would have to add or to
    Subtract to your desire feel
  3. IF you own a Golo Dual Balance a normal grip may fit however the shaft diameter is larger so it will a very snug fit. Secondly, the weighting will be super high in terms of swingweight which you may or may not like...keep in mind putting is different in terms of feel for most people. Lastly, the sole weight is different and heavier so even if you go to 5gr sole weights there will still be a significant weight difference. Good Luck!
