    Greetings and salutations TT!

I've noticed that sand/dirt has gotten into the ball bearing roller on my pivot tool, and have not yet tried to blow it out w/ compressed air; however, wanted to check for any tips/tricks to getting this out so it rolls smooth again. Has anyone taken this apart for cleaning?

  2. I have not taken any of mine apart nor had any issue with sand/dirt getting into the roller however the compressed air sounds like the best solution.

@Chris92009, it may be because I'm leaving the tool loose in my pocket, and not using the clip as intended to clip inside my pocket as to the reason for the sand... or maybe I should just NOT get in the traps! hahaha!

    *Update*
Well I did take the time to clean out the majority of the sand/dirt in the pivot tool w/ compressed air. *FYI* you cannot take the ball bearing roller out of the High Roller tool. I used the correct fitting hex wrench to try to remove the roller; however, it does not loosen. So I proceeded with blowing air while spinning the roller to get the dirt out from in between the ball bearings. It got out 99% of the dirt, and now rolls almost like new again. Way better than the feeling of sand grinding every time you try to spin the roller.

I may be wrong about the roller not being removable; however, I did make multiple attempts from both sides, and didn't want to risk breaking it completely so I settled on the air as the best/only way to clean out the dirt.

Good that you were able to remove the majority of the sand. I think that air is always the safest way.
  5. Are these tools something special as I am new to SC. Which one works easiest to fix ball marks? They range from $20 to $300. Thanks in advance.
