That is a great piece of art love the whole ability to customize your putter that scotty offers. Great design and the best putters in the market by far!
  4. Good job. So far the only thing I have done is having the lie changed and added a black/white superstroke grip with counterweight. Not very original

Not a custom Scotty but I did a real quick paint fill DIY on the sole and it was all half peeling and flaking and had to replace the grip
The 97 sole stamp tei3 version in original finish and a very light patina I found this beaut about a month ago in a second hand shop plays to 34"

So if you ask my wife she says I have a problem. I have a couple mainstay putters that have all been customized. Currently I am using a 35 in. Select Newport that I sent into the custom shop to get some work done. Had a sight line added and had the weights increased to 15 grams. currently using a Supersroke Flatso 1.0 countercore grip.

    Dom-
Do you like the 1.0 Grip?
I just had a mid slim 3.0 counter core installed and it seems a bit awkward...
Thinking I may need to try the 2.0...
Also I have issues with the weight rattling in the shaft at times....very annoying!!!

    What are your thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Dr. K

Dr. K - I had a countercore flatso 2.0 on my notchback for about a month (It was on it when I bought it). I thought I would love it. Sadly I couldn't get grooved with it and especially couldn't feel the putterhead well, no matter what weights I was using. If I'm not mistaken, Scotty's counterbalance heads are a full 50 grams heavier than their counterparts. Makes sense in hindsight. I went to the matador L with 25g weights (putter at 33.5") and I'm very happy. I did like the right hand feel of the 2.0 but that's about it. If I could chime in: Make sure the foam surround is in the correct position at the bottom of the countercore weight if you're having rattle. (Ok well mine had one, again I did not install the grip.)
    Best regards, sir!

    Dom-
Well my Super Stroke experiment lasted about 2 days...
I could never get used to the grip texture and feel.
Had to go back to my Lamkin E.B.L. Paddle 3GEN Grip...I have about 5 of them...should last me a few years.

    Cheers,
    Dr. K

I have a Circa 62. Great putter! I have completed the on line form with Scotty's shop but I can't image giving it up for 6-8 weeks! I wish it did not take so long!!!

Have 3 total. Just got the lefty "Spieth" 009M about a month ago. LOVE the stick. Thanks Scotty and co!!!!!! Have had the SSS tungsten weights for about 1.5 years. Also have a 35"/330g mil-spec from High-School that gets a few rounds in a year.

Been a member of TCC for a few years. For Scotty lovers, there is no better community like that!

Black and silver works for me. The pistolero grip made the difference as well as going to 5 degree loft. Does anyone know where I can get the rivet or screw missing from the toe side? I live in Uruguay so trusting my Newport mailed to get refurbished at Scotty's in SoCal is too risky. I called them but they just won't mail one to me. Can anyone suggest whom might? I'm still making putts like before but it just seems strange not to have a complete club.
Thanks to anyone who can offer a suggestion.

  17. Newport 2 BB @ 34". I had a NP2 ProPlatinum (and still have it, bought new in 2001) that I rolled for 15 years. I bought this Button Back new in 2008 and got the nerve to have it stamped on the toe and bumpers and game it earlier this year.
