Over the years, I've played several Scotty putters, Newports, Futura X, Golo, Cali Fastback, Selects, Studios. Like many golfers I know, I'm a streaky putter who one who struggles to stay in the zone week to week.

Towards the end of last season, I decided to change things up, and work on a left hand low stroke. Almost instantly, I started getting the ball on line, although distance control on longer putts was a bit tough at first. And then, I decided to sideline my Newport and pull out the only Scotty I never sold, a Futura that I bought back in '03. Snap! My putting has greatly improved. I don't know what is about the Futura, but it is almost impossible to not put a good roll on the ball.

I tried the dual balanced Futura X, but I struggled with controlling short putts - the club just seemed too heavy. The Futura, on the other hand, is almost too light. But as it sits right now, this club fits my putting stroke so well, I don't know why I ever went away from it!

I've had lots of different Scotty's but still putt best with my trusty Mil-Spec.

I too have several Scotty's but always return to my 2004 Studio Stainless 2.5. The best feeling putter I have.

My best and favorite is an old Red X. I have a California Del Mar too. When the habits get bad, the Del Mar helps me get back on track, but I love and putt the best with the old Red X that I always go back to. Quality lasts

I picked up my Studio Design 2.5 at a yard sale last year and had it refurbished at Scotty Cameron. It was in pretty rough shape. I didn't have it for the full season, maybe two rounds. It is taking some getting used to, as the shaft and head design are foreign to me, mostly blade putters in my life, a few Pings, an Odyssey. Trying to find the sweet spot, and over come a push. Practicing indoors is helping and should be ready for my season.
