Rust on New Futura 5W

    Hi, I recently purchased a new Futura 5W. I have only played 1 round with it (in sun no rain) and there is a small pea sized rust spot that has developed on the top. This seems abnormal with the putter not getting wet. I contacted the Golf Galaxy I purchased at and they said there is nothing they can do. Do you have any recommendations? Thank you.

    I would call Titleist cutomer service.

    Hi Jason,
    Please call that Golf Galaxy and talk with a manager. I'm not certain why Golf Galaxy would have told you there was nothing they could do. They will need to set up a Warranty inspection for it. Assuming normal usage, rust is not normal and should be covered under Warranty. Also, I will IM an email so that you can correspond with the national team and they can contact that Golf Galaxy if necessary.

    So… not saying, just saying… '303 stainless steel w/ 6061 aircraft aluminum face sole' do not rust. Neither of of those metals oxidize. Are you sure first it is rust or, second (hopefully not) is it a forgery? Time to go have a discussion with Golf Galaxy my friend.
