Serial number on shaft does not match !!

    I bought Scotty Newport 2.5 smart select and tried to register it by serial number on the web but it turned out that the serial number belonged to 2012 Monterey putter.

    What do you think of Newport 2.5 with serial number of Monterey.

    Does it looks like fake or real? and Is it possibe that the putter head did not match with shaft?

    My first question would be, where did you purchase the putter? If you purchased it on eBay could be questionable, in my opinion. Not something I would ever do. Just sayin'. Like you said it could be a different shaft and head????? Normally 15 grm weights would come on a 34" Newport 2.5 putter. That label may indicate that it is a custom putter? It may have been sent in for a re-shaft? Not an expert. Again, just sayin'. Most likely on Scotty Cameron folks can answer this and they do charge to send it in and verify that, as stated on here by a previous inquiry.
