  1. I have a 2008 studio select fastback 1 and absolutely love it. It was 35” so I cut it down to 33”, which has always been my putter length. The problem is now the putter head feels too light which is expected when I cut the shaft. But, I figured I could easily find weights or even aftermarket ones, but for some reason I can’t find weights that fit this model. I searched on Amazon and found multiple sellers and every single one has a disclaimer that their weights don’t fit my specific model along with a couple others (squareback, 2014 squareback 2, etc.). Is anybody familiar with my situation and do you know where I can get weights that will fit my putter?

What exact weights are you looking for? I have an extra set of weights that are 15 grams.

You will need the mallet-style weights, as seen on the SC website. Now that I read this more closely, I do have a pair of 20g and 40g weights. If you are looking for either of these, I would be happy to pass them along.

  4. Sorry for such a late response on my part. I’ve never left a comment on a discussion board before and didn’t expect anyone to respond this quickly, let alone two people offering me what I need! I’m honestly shocked.

Based on what I could find online, I would need a pair of 20g weights. I don’t have a weight remover tool yet so I’m not sure what the thread is, but this is the exact same putter as mine:

Have you got a picture of your weights and the thread?

I have a couple sets here but not sure if they will fit or not :)

    Thanks matt
  6. I don't have the tool to remove the weights so I don't know the thread, but this is the exact model/weights that are on my putter:

You can get the wrench for $48 at and recommend getting the real deal to ensure it works correctly. I got my wrench and weights thru a local fitter/retail/repair shop.

A pair of 20g weights can be purchased for $39-$59 dollars at the below site. They are made specifically for your putter:

You will need to removal tool, which I do not have an extra. You also will probably have to heat the bottom of the putter to loosen the weights before removing. This is simple. Just boil a small pot of water and hold the bottom of the putter over the steam for a minute to three and they will remove easily.
  10. I have the wrench tool on order, but would gladly accept the 20g weights if you're still willing to pass them along! I'm assuming they're the OEM versions? I'd be happy to pay for them too for your time and effort.

Thanks for the pro tip about heating the bottom of the putter by the way. Will definitely be doing that.

Send me a direct message with your address and I will pass them along. They are OEM, but I changed the paint-fill from red to white, if that's ok. I like that look with my 2015 Holiday Roundback :)
  12. The site has been under maintenance all day and it won't let me click on your name to add you. I'll try and DM you tomorrow. Thanks so, so much!
  13. Maybe it's easier to chat over Facebook Messenger? If you're okay with that, here's my Facebook page:
