My first gut instinct says fake. Unless you get a COA on ebay, I'd steer clear. Just my opinion.

I'd say it looks fake to me, no stamping on the sole, the neck finish looks awful and I've sent many putters to the Cameron Studio, they wouldn't stamp the toe as an option and that's not an option on an off the shelf putter.

Definitely a fake. The Scotty crown has 7 dots in the halo. Even if it were real, the welds at the neck connection look like hammered dog turds. If it were me, I'd pass on it and save for one purchased from a legit vendor.

There are 3 types of retailers on eBay. Large resellers that are also retailers like 2nd Swing and 3 Balls will warranty authenticity. Even if they get it wrong, they’ll make it right. The next are individuals trying to get a few more bucks than wholesale price at the large resellers. Look for sales way under a thousand. Not perfect, but they can supply some chain of custody if you ask. Then there are the basement dwellers that buy and sell by the thousands. No staff and no expertise on fakes. Other flags are international shipping.

…Let the buyer beware. Do due diligence to trust the seller before buying. Seeking opinions here based on photos is only a slight improvement. Especially when you get mixed responses

I no longer chase a few extra dollars selling clubs out of my rotation on auction sites. I’ve had buyers try to return clubs alter trying them. I don’t need that hassle and a threat of a bad rating. Any profit is lost in the time to process, extra mailings and the relisting fees.

On the right of the eBay site there is a bit of info that says Seller Information. What does it say about the seller.

It looks questionable, but lefty Scottys are not as mainstream, so they don't tend to get faked.

If people will counterfeit Old Spice aftershave, they'll do it with anything.

I'd suspect faking lefty clubs would be attractive because the options are limited and people will jump on something purely out of FOMO.

My red flags on the putter are the toe stamp, neck weld and neck coloring. The paint infill looks a bit sloppy as well. I can't imagine the Cuatom Shop would have let that putter ever leave looking like it does. Best case, it was a homered custom job.

Not sure if it is fake, but I think they put serial numbers on them to help identify. I would skip it, not only because it is left handed, but it is rather ugly. With all the custom options, it's possible that someone with really bad taste ordered it that way, but imagine trying to explain the appearance to your golf buddies.

The only Scotty putters without any soul markings that I have seen are Circle T putters.

The crown on the heel looks wrong.

I would stay away from this one.

I’m going with fake the plumbers neck has some rainbow effect in one of your photos. Never seen a Scotty with finishing like that.
