While we were at the TT invitational at Scottsdale one of the TT staff members was practicing with one and it had a nice feel and flow. Am considering going to see my fitter after Christmas to seriously check them out. I use to have a couple of the notchback putters and really enjoyed putting with them. They lined up nicely and minimized the number of putts. I could see some similarities. Am currenting gaming the Select Newport 2 and love that style of putter. Bought a good collection of weights to adjust for the various greens that we play on. Has anyone has much experience with the SS Squareback 2? Just looking for a few opinions, of course what my fitter and I come up with will be the determining factor and whether I bring out the debit card. Thanks and happy holidays.

Yes. For many years I only used the Newport 2 putter like the teryllium, pro platinum, select and special select series.
Switched to the SS Squareback 2 this year and must say that this one is more forgiving in long and short putts.
It is still the NP2 style with more forgiving, that's my opinion.

Ventured over to my favorite Titleist account and fitter today. By the time I left I had the SS Squareback @ in my bag but with a different grip this time. For year I had played the GolfPride SNSR 104cc Pistol Grip and they no longer carried this grips. Had been fighting the urge to go with the Superstroke but after talking to the fitter, he put the 1.0 pistol on my new putter and let me try in the shop with the understanding that if I did not like it they would change it to another grip and order the SNSR. Made a number of putts and liked the softness and the alignment underneath the grip and decided to keep it. Not to all excited with the white colors but guess will just to have to clean it more often. Very similar to the SNSR. Cannot wait to use it when I return to playing the first Wednesday in January.

I got a Squareback 2 when I was in San Diego at the Scotty Cameron shop. It was a MOTO and cost a little more but it has the Red, White and Blue paint and looks amazing. The Squareback is my favorite Scotty. It is stable and it doesn't look bulky.

Am really looking forward to getting back out in the sun (my dermatologist has me doing the skin cancer preventative cream treatment on my face, even though I wear the Aussie hats. My face resembles the craters on the moon.) playing golf again and enjoying my new putter as well as all the new equipment I purchased in November. Have only played Dec 1, 11, 13, 15. Got three days in testing the TEST balls. Between bad weather, El nino, this dang cream and the flu, it has been one exciting December and finally 2023 is over. Cannot wait for 2024.

Picked one up in March of this year. I love it! Very stable and consistent.
  8. I have back and forth between a squareback and phantom for the past few years. This year, I traded my Phantom 9.5 for the Super Select Squareback 2. This one is going to stay in the bag for a while.
