Hahaha!
that's a great question Mike. Tomorrow being Friday will you be playing? If so, I would hit the range.
Mike D., Titleist StaffAshland, MA
No game lined up for tomorrow. I'll be in the office following all of the action at Oak Hill.
In that case, go play a round instead. If you're anything like me and have to work through a weekend, productivity seems to go down when my weekly dose of golf has not been fulfilled.
P.S. I'm only a couple of hours away, let me know where to meet you.
Joseph.

Sounds like you might need a defined weekly calendar. Monday (gym), Tuesday, (run), Wednesday (range)..... :)

Depending on your local weather, I would go for a run or hit the range. You can hit the gym anytime (spoken like a true procrastinator).

Vary it on your week, If you do each one at least once a week, you will be better off in the long run. I can't run(4 knee surgeries so far on the same knee) but I bike. Major watching is a distraction for sure.

My routine is get up in the am and workout 4-5 days a week - run/walk/stretch/free weights. But then again, I'm Tom Watson's age. I need to do this to be able to stop by the range in the evening if I need to work on something. Pounding balls without purpose, besides of no benefit, is something I can't do daily. Unless you can really focus on the range, I'd stick to body work. The point of the lunch workout is to relax the mind.

Swing a few a keep the muscles grooved. I don't personally like afternoon workouts.

The range! Any time spent with a golf club is better than any alternative ( wifes/girlfriends excluded of course)

I'm thinking practice putting green to work on my inside 10-foot putts!

It took a lot of internal dialogue back-and-forth, but in the end... the 4.25 mile run won out.
Maybe I'll be able to sneak in a quick range session to work on the short game on the ride home... and then I might have to explore the weekly schedule approach. It's always good to have a planned routine to help take the guess work out.
Cheers!

I would head out to the range. Whenever I'm watching golf, I always like to head to the range after.

Mitchell Gordon voted for a teeball season followed by a swing, so that is what we did at lunchtime.
only problem no beer after like after around of golf or quick run.

Work on the swing - you can be out of shape and still make a good swing. You can be in tip-top condition and still make a bad swing.

The run will be some good cardio for ya Mike.
I myself will take a jog by the lake one day. The next, I'll do golf related stretches (with some light weights), and use resistance tubes. I'll alternate between those things every week. I tell you what though, I have to use a push mower to mow my one yard due to all of the trees. By the time I'm done doing that, I call it a day, haha.
Of course, when I'm not playing or practicing, I have a putting green and hitting area in my house, and the same outside with a bunker. I'm sure that Dave Phillips and Dr. Rose could throw you some great ideas!

Mike D., Team Titleist Manager posted Major question... in General. It's just about lunch time here on the east coast, and it seems like the same question always jumps into my head at about 11:20am... do I hit to the gym for a workout, go outside for a run or do I head to the range to work on the swing?Definitely golfer problems... what's your vote? I would suggest go to the range.
Dallin HArlington, TX
I say go to the range. If you hit enough balls, then you can count it as a workout. Since you live up north, take advantage of the nice weather while you have it, besides you can hit the gym in the winter.
