What type of color of ball do you play, white or yellow and how do you mark it? Are there any specifications or suspicions?

I myself prefer a nice clean white prov1 with small numbers like 1-6 an I put a simple black dot to the left of the number of the ball. It brings me the best luck lol

Would love to hear or see what you play and how you mark it. Best wishes, John

ProV1x. Plain white thank you, not into the yellow. Just got my Loyalty Rewarded shipment in today. Custom number, initials on the side and marked over the Titleist logo. Been using this for several years now, and I actually get back probably 60-70% of the balls that go missing from friends and Club members who find them.

Not yet Robert. That's on my "imitation" granite counter top. Now the day after tomorrow, the first round in this frozen tundra of New England, probably take only a couple of holes to pop it in one.

By the way my maternal grandmother, a saint, was born in a village just the other side of Glasgow, 112 years ago, to an Irish mother and a Scottish father, until they came over here.

White Prov1, high numbers 5-8, when I can find them, normally others do not use them, and mark it with three blue dots in a triangle to the right of the number.

At the moment I have some AVX's ordered. I currently have Vice Golf Balls Pro Soft. I generally swing the club and make contact with the face of the club to the ball (ideally). :) sorry just had to...

Pro V1, initials imprinted on the side and a blue dot to the right of the #. I order high #'s (5-8), easier to identify.
  14. I just switched to the AVX and I am loving it. I tend to have a pretty high ball flight and this ball helped calm that and gave me more distance off the tee. Control with wedges was incredible, too. Plain white with a blue dot to the right of the number and a blue line on the opposite side of the "AVX" logo.

White Pro V1 with a Blue dot by number on even balls & a red dot by number on odd numbered balls
Then I have my White Pro V1's with the #1 only & my initials DJM in blue on the side they have a blue dot.
I use the opposite color dot for mostly provisional balls otherwise I would use the same color dot all the time.

  17. Winter - Velocity (Extra yardage plus I have a couple of dozen from Christmas)
Summer - TourSoft (Again, Christmas presents, but I'm going to give AVX a run this summer to see if it's a flatter, more penetrating flight)

Being diabetic with some eyesight issues, I've gotten used to optic yellow balls. Some years ago I started using the NXT and NXT Tour. Honestly, I can't feel a difference or see any difference in my results. I've tried other balls in orange or red, but i actually have trouble finding those colors on the ground. The optic yellow is best for me, so I always revert to the Titleist NXT or NXT Tour.

Just to show you how long I was away from the game, I have 2 dozen NXT Tour balls, untouched, in my closet. That doesn't include a bunch in my golf bag.

A couple days ago, someone mentioned the ball fitting thing, so I went looking for it. When I finished it and looked at the selection of balls, I realized the NXT is apparently not made anymore. I guess I'll try the Tour Soft it recommended.
  21. I like the white PV1, thinking about get the yellow ones too. I like to mark a triangle with the dimples right above the Titleist logo on both sides of the ball. Three small dots in either red or green sharpee.

My new white pro vs are number 23, El Bandito, Doug Kyle on one side team Titleist logo on the other.
The number will have a black circle round it and the pro v will have a blue line through it.

My Yellow pro v balls are number 1-4, Titleist wouldn’t let me have number 23 grrrr
They have El Bandito, Doug Kyle on one side Team Titleist on the other.
These will also have black circle round the number and blue line through the pro v.

Forgot to mention... I don't mark my ball with any art work. I'm the only one in my group playing a colored ball, so I know what's mine.
