Nothing better than the unexpected call of a parent saying they want to see their grandkid come over for the night so they can spoil them and give my wife and I some much needed time together. So what show did we go see, or place/restaurant did we visit...nope we both suited up and ran to Yale to play 18 before sunset! Great times were had, calculators needed to add up, but in the end so beautiful and relaxing. Happy to have a wife who finds commonality in golf with me. Here's to hoping you all can get the grandparent call to 9 and dine!

Glad to see you get away for some much needed time. Yale....read and heard a lot about that course. It gets rave reviews on a lot of golf sites.

It's nice you were able to get some time together enjoying our great game.

I grew up hunting and fishing. Played baseball and basketball. Golf came later in life and getting older, I haven't played ball in years. The kids have been out of the house for a long time. My wife doesn't hunt or fish, so golf is something we can do together. It's a great sport for couples.

I thought this going to be a food post. You know the under-appreciated date fruit! A product of the date palm and cultivated since approximately 6000 B.C, the date fruit is one of the sweetest fruits around and also happens to come in many different varieties.

But seriously, I know I enjoy playing golf with my wife and I'm glad y'all had an opportunity to play together.

Joshua, lucky you. Aaaaah, Yale at sundown. I really miss it up there in Connecticut. Only played Yale once, but it's a fantastic track. To play a round at sunset there, with your best girl....priceless.
