This topic has been brought up in the past, but I would like to add some professional insight into a problem many of us have had. I've had the putting yips intermittently over the last few years. They come and go with no warning or sign. And contrary to popular opinion, they have very little to do with pressure or stress, at least that's what I've experienced. I sometimes get the yips putting on my carpet at home and on the golf course playing by myself. I did some research and below is what I found on the Mayo Clinic's website. It made me feel so much better. I took the advice and started putting left-handed with my very old Acushnet BULLS EYE putter. Which is a traditional blade that can be used right or left-handed. My YIPS were instantly cured!! I think Scotty Cameron has a blade that can be used either right or left-handed, but I would love to see more models like this from the master. It's the cure for the YIPS! (Below is the info from Mayo).

"The yips are involuntary wrist spasms that occur most commonly when golfers are trying to putt. However, the yips can also affect people who play other sports — such as cricket, darts and baseball.

It was once thought that the yips were always associated with performance anxiety. However, it now appears that some people have the yips due to a neurological condition affecting specific muscles (focal dystonia).

Changing the way you perform the affected task might help you find relief from the yips. For example, a right-handed golfer might try putting left-handed."
