I am very grateful for this wonderful life I live in retirement and have the opportunity to return to golf and play when and where ever I please. The last haircut I had was the day before I went in before my back surgery. Not looking good, believe me.

When I went to see my cutter today, I asked for my summer cut and asked her if she had anyone coming in today that that may have been laid off because of the pandemic. I told her that I wanted to pay for mine and to "pass a hair cut on". She looked at me funny and asked what I meant. She said the person coming in after me worked in the food and beverage business and thought he had lost his job. I told her I was leaving her enough money to pay for his haircut plus tip. I left before he got there, just wanted to pass on something that might help a little. That is the challenge. Pass something on to help someone who could use a little help, if it is in your budget. With respect and cheers. Chuck.

You sir, Chuck Z, have my utmost admiration.

When my county opens, i will be sure to follow in your footsteps. But i do not wish to leave it for the next person as they might already to be well off. I will leave it to my barber to decide who gets it. Hes a real stand up dude, so i trust him.

What a wonderful thing to do Chuck. That act of kindness helped both the cutter and the next customer.
Wish there were more people like you out there. The world would be a better place.

Thanks for the great idea Chuck! I'll have to pass it on to my wife as I'm in the "do it yourself" clipper-style stage of haircare...A couple minutes every week or so and I'm good to go!

Great gesture and well done Chuck Z. I'm not surprised a bit. I've always loved reading your post. I hope I get to shake your hand someday. Hopefully I can retire in the next year or so and finally get to a TT outing and do just that! Happy Memorial Day to you as well sir!
    Play Well,

Memorial Day (previously, but now seldom, called Decoration Day) is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the military personnel who had "died" while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Veterans Day is observed on November 11th for those of who served, are here to remember our fallen comrades on Memorial Day and the remainder of the year, RIP. With respect.

Dave, my back does not hurt when I swing a club, but there is still some pain when I do other motions. I am going back to see my neurosurgeon on Wednesday to have him look at it. Thanks for asking. Cheers.

Lower irritation and another steroid injection. Taking it easy for three days. Never affected swinging golf club, different motion. Going back to see him June 24th. Seems to think it will solve problem. Nothing serious according to him.

Classy move at the Barbers. Hope the back is coming along. Memorial Day is the one holiday that I refrain from using the word "Happy". RIP to our fallen comrades.
  11. Chuck, great idea, hope my barber opens soon so I can do the same. Hope your back is okay.

Better, but after a six and a half month layoff, my timing is horrible. My game needs a lot of attention before I hit the links. My swing coach is working a lot of hours at the course and we cannot get together. The course is closed for a makeover and all hands on deck. Of course they are not involved in the major renovation on the course.
The range is my best friend right now allowing the back to heal more. Sacroiliac is acting up now on the left side. Had injection for that. Does not affect the swing motion. Ibuprofen helps a lot.
