Been a picker my whole life and in the last 6 months I'm learning how to take a divot. Huge improvement.

I never take a divot if I do I’ve hit it heavy and it goes nowhere........‍♂ïļ

Picker until I saw the divots the big boys took at the Ryder Cup. I’ve been a digger ever since but my ball still doesn’t do what I saw their balls do.

Picker, trying to transition to digging a little bit, mostly I am trying to improve the contact of the clubface when hitting the ball.
    Right now for me
No divot = thin-bladed shot, low and long.
Small divot = Good contact, great distance, and good control.
Big divot = Fat hit, more ground than the ball, short and no control.

A digger all my life. I always envied the pickers who hit quality shots, especially useful in wet conditions.

Always a picker. Would like to be a digger but I don't think that is going to happen in my lifetime.
If I took a divot, ball would go nowhere.

I was a digger for years until I dislocated my right shoulder.
Now I’m a picker and I can’t get back to digger at all
  10. Been a digger most of my golf life. I guess sometime in the past I heard the tip "hit the little ball before the big ball" and I have been steep ever since.

Right now a picker if I hit it right. As has been said before, I am working on coming in a little steeper and taking a small divot with my short irons.

I am a digger, but sometimes a little too much! I am pretty steep on my angle of attack, trying to limit that, but not having much success. Plenty of time to practice!

Always been a picker. I tend to ‘bruise’ the turf with long/mid irons and only a small divot with short irons/wedges.
  16. More of a picker myself, I do however try to hit the ball first and leave a little divot in front of the ball after contact

More of a sweeper than a digger here.

Little bit of both actually, but lean in the picker direction. I'm more likely to hit something thin and take progressively less of a divot as I work up through the bag.

With wedges it's more mixed, on fuller shots, I tend to take less of a divot. On 1/2 and 3/4 shots it's more like a beaver pelt.

I'm a "picker". like Tom Watson. I know there are other top players, but, I'm too old to remember.

in my younger days I was a digger but as I have got older I now find myself, generally as a picker, with the exception of the wedges.
