My inquiry is in regards bending iron heads flat that are defaulted to 2 degrees upright when ordering shafts at 3/4 over length or longer. Why can’t the heads be bent flat at all when this is the case?

If you are talking about bending an existing set that is already at 2 deg. upright, most mfgs. suggest not bending for lie not more than 2 degrees up or down. Bending from 2 deg. upright to 1 deg. flat would be a 3 deg. bend. If you are ordering new, you should be able to get whatever lie is needed regardless of shaft length.

I believe with custom orders, you should be able to get the requested lie adjustment without messing with the shaft length. As for adjusting the club's lie angle post manufacturing, much easier to do with forged clubs than cast clubs.
