Should I do a fitting locally (DFW: Sellinger's Power golf or Dallas Club Company) or spend probably 3x the money and fly out to do a fitting at TPI?

Personal choice based on your budget and priorities. I will say from personal experience, the whole experience at TPI is pretty incredible.

Dale V. hit it on the mark and it looks like you know what the cost is for a TPI visit. From the people I've met who have visited TPI, they all say pretty much the same thing, "bucket list, check."

If you can swing TPI, no brainer. Exactly what Todd said, lots to love getting fitted at TPI. I've been fitted a few times at Manchester Lane and it's an experience that no one can match. Good luck with the fitting!

Does any of the TPI fee go towards any clubs you purchase that day?

Tod talked about the "perfect lies". Man it was like carpet. I was a little nervous about taking a divot. :)

Ha! Had to be told, don’t worry about the divot pattern - we know how to grow grass. No need to generate narrow lines.

Going to TPI is next level AWESOMENESS.
Nobody does it better in the business.

I agree with the other guys. TPI is an experience that is hard to match. The staff makes you feel special from the moment you walk in the door.

Dale V's story of hitting balls off of carpet and being afraid of making divots, reminded me that i had the same feeling.
After a few warm up swings I dug up a beaver pelt of turf. I stopped, looked around to see if the staff was going to ask me to leave. My fitter, Joey, told me not to worry about it and a lot of people take at least one good chunk of turf.
I calmed down and enjoyed my fitting.

If you are a Titleist enthusiast like most of here, going to TPI is a must. Not a bad lie in the place, all of the shafts, heads and data to put you in your best equipment. The fitters also fit touring pros so they know what they are doing. It's a great time.

You get to hit ProV1's or 1x's during the fitting process so you see exactly how the proposed club will play.

The fee does not go to any of the equipment cost but you do get some nice little perks for being there, you will have to go to find out..... ;).

Keep an eye out for Titleist fitting days hosted by Titleist, as those sessions the fee generally goes to clubs if you buy them that day.

no question. TPI all the way. You can always make more money. But TPI is an experience of a lifetime!!! Go for it!!!
