I was fortunate enough to attend the TTI at Kiawah Island and enjoyed the Ocean Course with a caddie, but I see that we have the option at Streamsong.

With three days of golf, a caddie all three days will do a job on my wallet, but I know it'll be worth it. Another factor is the Florida heat with virtually no shade to be found out there.

Any thoughts? Is one course more "iconic" than the others, so would be the must-caddie of the three?

    Thanks!

If the option is there, I'll take a cart for one or 2 of the rounds. I do like walking as well. Hopefully we will get a little more guidance as it gets closer. If Dale V reads this, I am sure he might have a good idea.

Thanks Tim. Traveling on a cruise in the UK this week so limited Wi-Fi. Good summary below. Fingers crossed on the weather. See you soon.

Looking forward to Streamsong. SC Hwy17, I-95, I-4, should be there around 4ish on Sunday. Nice drive down from Charleston. With my medical issues, will be a cart all three days. Just cannot do the walking thing anymore. Wish I could. That is why I passed on the TT trips to WI and OR. Cannot do walking only courses. Doctors told me to continue playing, just now use a cart. The heat, a way of like in the south. Southern born by the grace of God. Get by with a lots of water and a baby cart (8 hour charge, under $30) fan from Amazon. Regarding caddies, my understanding based on latest information, is that every foursome will have a forecaddie, which we will be paying for. Walking or riding. Looking forward to seeing friends from past events and making new friends. Hakuna matata. =)

I'm not sure if carts are included but here is the policy I pulled from the Streamsong website:
Riding Golf Carts – $35 per player, per round. A forecaddie is required for all riding players at all times.

If you choose to walk the course, I believe a caddie is a good idea.

Maybe break it up. splurge on a caddie one or two days and cart the other day.

I believe we also have the option of a group forecaddie. Likely to get rain as this is peak hurricane season so factor that into your plans. See you there.

From the original posting of the event under the events tab. All golf rounds include a cart. Forecaddies are required at $35/player + gratuity. Additional caddie services are available and can be explored/reserved here: Caddie Services - Streamsong Resort

I called the Pro Shop yesterday to get an idea of what the weather has been doing. As Dale mentioned, they just passed the halfway point of hurricane season.

Streamsong has been getting afternoon rain, that can roll in around 2pm on the early side but tends to come in around 6pm. The rain at times can be heavy but not long in duration, so bring rain gear just in case. Course drains very well and should not damper the playing conditions.

As for the cart/walking matter. Each foursome will have a forecaddie assigned and we will have carts. Fee, according to the Pro Shop is $25 plus gratuity.

Safe travels to all that are going, looking forward to meeting you all in person. I'll be the one with the Titleist gear..... LOL!!! =)

So…..speaking of clubs……will there be any fittings at the event? Specifically woods?

On the itinerary, Monday's afternoon activity will involve a "Titleist Experience." What this "experience" will be, is anyone's guess. With the recent official release of the TSR metals, my bet is the "experience" will include the new equipment. In prior TTI events, fittings were offered and often depended on fitters being available to complete them.
  15. Cart in the heat of Florida for me...IMHO

Amen. With heat and humidity in the high 80’s it will be taxing. At least for me coming from highs in the 60’s.

If you're physically able, I'd walk, at least for the first round. Then if the heat is too much, take the cart.

Looking forward to the event and seeing everybody! I don't walk a ton anymore so it will probably be a cart. Last time I played a tournament at Streamsong it was a lot of walking but a great time!

Read you emails today. Lisa has a great update. They even have a map so I now know where to land my helicopter, Sunday. That has really been bothering me. Five days, but who is counting. Am going maverick this year, my game is really bad. Shot a 98 today. Thinking about turning the clubs around and hitting them with the other end. Might make better contact. Just looking to have a good time, yawl. =)

@Chuck Z...it's a TT event, how can someone not have a good time ;-) Travel safe and we'll see you on the putting green on Sunday!

If you want to if LH works better, maybe we swap on the range……shouldn’t hurt my game.

Just a few days left until we arrive at Streamsong. I’m looking forward to meeting all the faces behind the names.

I played today to get some rust off. Didn’t putt too well but did birdie 18 which gave me a good feeling. Hit it ok but did push the new TSR2 out to 330 on a hole.

Going to be a good time. Looking to hit some good shots, meet new friends, talk Titleist and golf destinations/courses with you all.

    Cheers,

    Tyler
