  1. Thank you to all the staff at Titleist for another incredible Team Titleist Invitational! (Despite the hurricane...that was a little over the top! LOL)

From the Streamsong Resort Golf Courses, meals, rooms, putting clinic with Brad Faxon and all the other amazing things it was AWESOME.

    Can't wait for next year!

    Cheers, Chris

Agreed! These Titleist folks know how to put together an event. All I can say is, "Mr. Brad Freakin' Faxon!"...mind blown!

    Abdon,

We didn't get a chance to officially meet but did see you there. More mind blown was being able to play the Black Course alongside Brad Faxon and Emily Brooks.

See you next year of if you do any of the local TT events.

Hello Tyler, it was an action packed 3 days for sure. What an experience to play with Brad Faxon...definitely, memories of a lifetime. I hope to catch you at the next TT event.

    Chris,

Couldn't agree more. Being my first ever TTI, the weather only created a stronger sense of making a habit to attend these events going forward. The new friends I met and shared the fairways with, to the memories created, I can't wait until next year and years to come.

For 2 plus days it felt that I was on Titleist staff in how everyone at Titleist treated the participants.

Sorry I missed the Faxon experience. I saw him heading to the course on Tuesday morning. Glad I did leave early on Tuesday. Took ten hours to get home with the traffic in Orlando. Really appreciate all the Team Titleist staff and the extraordinary efforts in putting this event together and the many adjustments with the hurricane coming thru Florida. Kudos. So glad to see many old friends and glad to put many new faces with names. Thanks to all for making this a great experience. We experienced a lot of wind and rain on Friday as a TS as the hurricane came along the coast of South Carolina. Our neighbors in Pawley's Island and Georgetown did not fair so well. The price we pay for living in paradise. Until next spring, we will see how this old body is holding together and what my surgeons say this winter.

I know the session was recorded by Titleist staff. Hopefully, it is archived for all to view in the future.

In case they don't post it, there was a lot of great info but one point he made was how he didn't like the oversized putter grips. Talked about how much we all use our thumb and top two fingers to pick things up and that's where we have our best feel. He likes thin grips and using the index finger as a trigger. Talked a lot about green reading and practicing distance control.

To add, he uses a dime 2 feet out to check direction. As opposed to buying any number of alignment aids. All of which are far more than a dime and an alignment stick from a home improvement box store. Make that 2 alignment sticks to set min/max distances for distance control. He can’t define how he putts - feel and confidence in his stroke. If you don’t, back out if indecisive.
I appreciated the thin grip conversation. My fitter/coach pushed the pistolero grip for me. I don’t think I’ve seen another mallet with that grip. Std is the mid-size.

I changed my putting grip early in the round after seeing how Brad gripped the club. He talked about the right thumb and index finger being important for a right handed golfer in the putting stroke.

Watching him put the greens on the Black course with the undulations was special. Made lag putting look easy.

The drill using the spaced out alignment sticks for distance control and lag is something I'm going to add to my pre round practice routine

It was a real blast, hurricane preparations and all. Too bad Mother Nature had to intervene and cut it short a day. Wonderful to see all the old friends and new folks who attended. It's a great way to make new friends in the community. Can't wait for next year.

Totally agree Ted! The team did an excellent job making sure everyone was safe and they kept the fun factor at a remarkably high level. Hope to see you at the next event!

Another great event and stellar execution from Titleist! Even curtailed as it was, I had a great time and can't wait for the next chance to attend. Streamsong was a great place for something like this, with nothing but golf, golf, and more golf.
