I was a bit skeptical of the hype surrounding the release of the TSR drivers. And while the season is winding down here in New England, I’ve been hitting my 917D3 well, so it was the perfect time to get fitted, and at learn my specs.
Today was my first round with my TSR2 10* HZRDUS Black. I showed up to the course as a single and was hooked up with a threesome that was on the tee before I had even gotten my bag out of the trunk or my shoes on. I don’t want to talk about the first two holes, as I was totally unprepared to start playing. But after that - talk about a point and shoot club. I missed two fairways by a total of 4 inches. It was cool and wet, with very little roll, so it’s difficult to confirm that the yardage gains that Trackman suggested were actually realized. But I do know I had two “good misses” that were as long as my best with the 917D3.
If you’ve been thinking about the TSR offerings, find your local Titleist fitter and dial in your specs. This club is that good!
