Hey TT! Been a long wet winter here in Oregon! Hard to get anything going on the course when it’s just torrential rain for 18 holes. We have played 6 events so far on the Oregon VGA tour and sadly I have been horrible so far lol. With the sun here I can finally hit the range and get dialed for the remainder of this season and hopefully post some good scores and a few wins for Team Titleist!

I don't mind the rain too much if it's not combined with windy conditions. I find that with rain and wind, the best raingear out there will not keep the wet stuff out. Good luck with the remainder of your golf season.

Oh my right honorable friend form the west coast. We also play in the wind and rain on the coast of SC. My FJ rain gear keep me dry, but if the wind is blowing so hard that it does not, it is time to pack it up and go home. That type rain and wind is almost a category 1 hurricane. ha...ha...ha.... you know I am kidding, that would be one minute of 74 mile an hour sustained...... not even my prov1 would hold up to that.....

My one-time experience with unplayable rain and wind happened at the Bandon Dunes Resort playing Pacific Dunes. My group should have followed the recommendation from the pro shop...play at your own risk...if you pay now, you won't get a refund later. Even our caddies were hesitant but being the professionals that they are, they would be game if we were. We tee'd off as scheduled with rain and wind doing their thing. If you're familiar with Pacific Dunes, we approached hole 7 and our caddie informed us that this is the hole nearest to the club house...if we're stopping for the day, this is the place to do it. We walked in soaked and beaten after 7 . Lesson learned.

Our worst day was on Sheep Ranch. Not only standing water on the greens where you could not putt but balls being washed off the greens in some places. One large fairway puddle grabbed a drive and I had to wade into deep water to retrieve my ProV1x. So much for waterproof shoes when you need waders.

Maybe that means a drier summer and fall of you guys. Hoping for a good week in December when we get back to Bandon. We had 2 days last December when standing water on the greens made it impossible to putt. We usually have pretty good luck in early December.
