We surprised some Team Titleist members who still had Vokey Design SM7 wedges in their bag with a fitting for new Vokey Design SM10 wedges. See what they had to say after putting some fresh grooves and new wedge technology to the test.

I love the Team Titleist community which makes this video possible... knowing that there are those among us who don't have the latest tech, and giving them a chance to see the new tech in a wedge is incredible! And now more golfers who use Titleist are likely ordering SM10's!

That's awesome! It feels great to be on the course when you have confidence in your wedges!

I still play my SM7s though I didn't start playing them as soon as they were released - waited for my previous wedges to wear out. Probably only have about 60 rounds and not a ton of practice sessions on them. Will go get fitted for SM10s at some point this year - and I hope the Wedgeworks L grind would still be available then as I think it could be a fit for my lob.

Looking forward to attending the next fitting event for SM10s. I was unable to make the previous fittings this spring, which was a bummer. After being fit for Titleist woods and irons last year and seeing the difference on the course, I can't wait to see the improvements once I add the wedges to my bag and retire my trusty SM8s.

After the TSR Metal Woods line up, these are the next segment of clubs that will go in my bag!

Only wish is that I lived in an area where there are opportunities like this to test new equipment. I love the mountains but miss having a good working relationship with my local Titleist rep like I had in Minnesota.
  13. I’m currently playing a mix of SM8 and 9s. I have one SM6s and an SM7, too. I’ve been playing Vokey wedges for decades and still have my oldest clubs. My favorite Vokeys were the original WedgeWorks TVD design which were retired due to non-confirming grooves, otherwise I would still be playing them. I’m curious why Titleist chose to profile the SM7s against the SM10s?

I’m looking to make a change this year and will honestly look at all options, including Vokey, of course. I currently have F grinds and I’m interested in less bounce and perhaps more beneficial contour on the trailing edge for flop shots, etc. I’m most interested in 56 * options, it’s the wedge I use most often.
