I'm fortunate enough to belong to a club, and one of my favorite weekends is the 3 day Member Guest.  It's 18, 27, and 18 holes of fun.  There's 8 flights and you play everyone in your flight in a 9 hole match.  Flight winners play in a par 3 shootout (form different tees according to flight) to determine the overall champion.

There's great food, lots of bets and libations a plenty.   It's an absolute blast.  This year I'm lucky enough to get to play in two of them in back to back weekends.  Thank heavens my wife is semi supportive, okay, more like tolerant of my golfing addiction...  I guess it helps that I always give her a cut of any winnings.

Do any of you guys play in Member Guests?
