Tons of great courses in the DFW area.  Just north on 75 from where Sherrill Park is are two courses I always loved playing.

Easy access to both courses from 75N (they are probably no more than 5 miles apart).

Dallas National Golf Club, Colonial Country Club Brook Hollow Golf Club or Shady Oaks Country Club would be on my list of places to play in the Dallas/Ft Worth area.

Dornick Hills in Ardmore Oklahoma is a Perry Maxwell (he is buried there as well).

I will be playing it on my way back to Tulsa.

Plenty of great places to eat that are not chain restaurants.

Hey Abby!

On the Fort Worth side of town, I'd recommend Sky Creek Ranch in Keller. It consistently ranks in the top public courses in the state & is still in pretty decent shape. And then since you're gonna be on this side of town, you almost have to visit the historic Stockyards where they're a ton of eating options. I guess I could just tell you this in the morning!
