So I've just booked a holiday to America and plan to drive from San Diego to San Francisco. On route I plan to stop off at Torrey Pines, The Scotty Cameron Gallery and Pebble Beach. I wanted to know if anyone has been to any of these and if they have any recommendations?

I'm sure you'll get a lot of great tips on here. I'm extremely jealous about your stop to the Scotty Cameron Gallery.. Have a great trip.

Thanks Christpher. Really looking forward to it and would love to hear from other Team Titleist members if they have been to the Scotty Cameron gallery

There are a good number of Scotty Club members on here, so I'm sure you'll hear some good info on that.

You could also do the Titleist Fitting on Oceanside... Great experience!

For Pebble, there are some good Stay and Play packages that are available and usually two rounds with that. Play Pebble and Spyglass, they are both great courses. Spanish is nice, but I like the other two far better. If you need more golf in the Monterey area, try Poppy Hills or Bayonet.

As you head North from there, you could try Pasatiempo (Alister Macenzie).

If you go through San Jose, let me know if you want to play Boulder Ridge. If you're playing in SF, I like Harding Park (haven't played many others up there).

    Have a great time!

When does your trip start? I think that the Gallery is closed on Sunday and Mondays. What recommendations would you like for Pebble as I live about 1 1/2 hours away and have been there too many times to count.

When I journeyed to the west coast I was able to play Torrey Pines North and Spyglass Hill. Highly recommend both. Hope to play the south course next time out.

    Samuel,

BA (Ben) posted some good ideas about golfing in the PB area. Are you staying on property at PB or somewhere outside the property? Bring some warm clothes because you never know how the weather will be in May. What dates in May will you be in the PB area?

By the way the bay area will be much warmer on your way to San Francisco and the City may or may not be cold. I live 45 minutes south of San Francisco.

If you're willing to drive about an hour from SF, Yocha Dehe is absolutely awesome out in Cache Creek.

Guys thank you all for the comments. I will be in the pebble beach area between 14th and 15th May. I really cannot wait for the trip. Has anyone been to the Scotty Cameron Gallery?

I know of a few TT members that have been to the Gallery and know several TCC members that have made trips to the gallery

Too bad that you weren't in the bay area on May 14th as we're having a little golf outing with some NorCal The Cameron Club members and you'd see some incredible Cameron putters and meet some fun people.

    Hey SR,

It's been a few years since I played Torrey Pines South. At that time I searched the Internet regarding getting on TorreyPines. Everyone suggested I get there very early in the AM to be at the head of the line that forms very, very early. I got there one hour before sunrise and I wound up being fifth in line to go out and play in the second foresome. As a single I was paired up with 3 others. I was told that they have about 100,000 rounds of golf played each on the North and South courses every year. My recommendation to you is to play the South course if you are very accurate with your driver and can hit it at least 290"yards plus. The rough there is penal. The greens are difficult to read and did not seem to me to putt true. The poa anna grasses seem to push the ball around on the greens even more than say a coarse bermuda grass will. The course is very long. I played the senior tees that were at 6900 yards and because the wind coming off the ocean is always present, it will play longer than the card. Most of the patrons I spoke to prefer to play the North course as it is shorter in length. Both courses however are stunning and the people were friendly. Regardless which you play, you will have a great time there. Good luck.
