Pinehurst Invitational; Sept 28-30

    Is anyone traveling to the Pinehurst Invitational from Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia or Kentucky...? I am considering carpooling since it is a 8-9 hour drive from Cincinnati, Ohio for me. I am planning on leaving early morning Sept 28th Wednesday and returning after the Friday events. It would be nice to be able to change up drivers every couple hours or so for safety purposes.

    Sorry, I'm a bit too far East for you. I'm 8 hours from Cincy, (near Baltimore) it's about 5 hours from here.

    It would have been cool to share the excitement on the way down with another TT Member.

    Can't wait for this event. Hopefully, someone will travel with you to help break up the trip. Too bad Dan isn't coming this year.

    We will definitely miss Dan. But we will have Captain Chris leading our foursome around the two courses. Being it is a blind draw, this ought to be a blast. Maybe they will let this old man play from the Senior tees (Green) to have a chance to keep up with you young guys. My handicap is from our Sr tees at my course and I just turned 70 on Saturday. Cannot believe it. Looking forward to playing with you and Chris. You guys will enjoy my buddy, David. Remember last year at Southern Pines? Dan, Chris, Mike D, me, and you. Cheers, Chuck.......

    So far, I've had no luck finding anyone going from here in the Houston area. i plan to leave Monday morning and take two days to get to Pinehurst. Afterwards, I'm still deciding whether to go to SC to visit a friend and play some more golf, or start towards home. If I do the latter, I'd like to stop on the way and visit briefly with a friend who's in college in SC. I'd love to have a travel companion, to share diving and stories on the way. Anyone interested?

    Thanks to both your comments! Last year Dan and I traveled to the Titleist event together and it was a fun but a long drive!..

    That is a nice looking crew there in the pic!! Fun times!

    Yes I am really bummed I can't make it this year and I just changed jobs so things will be much better timing for me next year. I know you guys are going to have a blast and look forward to seeing all of the pictures!

    Guess none else is coming from southern Texas, or they are all flying. I'll be arriving Tuesday late evening to meet up with Fred Closs. We plan to play somewhere on Wednesday, then join the gang at the resort for the Invitational. Afterwards, I'm going to Beaufort, SC to join up with a buddy who moved from Houston earlier this year. Look forward to seeing everyone.
