Hurricane Matthew paid us a visit this weekend and he was mild in comparison to what we were expecting. He did drop a lot of rain on the lowcountry, ten to thirteen inches. Golf courses turned into temporary fishing resorts. Loss of some trees and a few are now open, just depending on the location in Charleston. My wife and I live about two miles from the ocean and we were very lucky. No flooding, a small amount of debris, no loss of electricity, just a lot of wind. We cleaned up Sunday and I mowed the yard Monday and Tuesday and we were back to normal. Comcast came back on Monday evening. We were without our landline, email, and of course cable, but we survived. The courses in Hilton Head took a heavy hit and I got an email from the courses in Myrtle Beach today saying many are open for business. Overall, Charleston again, survived, which, seems to always be the case. There is a small fishing town up the coast from us, McClellanville that the eye of the hurricanes normally hits and it did again. You know life is good and I just think of the great time I had a Pinehurst. Cheers, Chuck......
