After driving from Charleston thru GA, AL, MS to TN back thru MS, AL, up to Pulaski, TN, back to AL, GA, to Charleston for my nephew's wedding and after playing two days of golf. We are beat and no golf for me today. We did spend two days in with my wife's family in Collierville, TN (FEDEX city) and while there played a little golf. Received a call on Monday night before we were to leave on Tuesday and was informed that I had a tee time on Wednesday morning at the TPC at Southwind home of the FEDEX St Jude Classic. Sweeeeeeeeeeet. Had no expectations I just showed up and had a fun morning, because of the 11 hour drive the day before. The course runs beside FEDEX corporate headquarters as you can see in one of the photos. On Thursday I joined my brother-in-law at his course, Memphis National, for a little fun and relaxation before his son's wedding day on Saturday in Pulaski, TN. Converted him years ago to Titleist and FJ. That's what brothers-in-law do. That tournament course was in awesome shape and the greens were fast and tough to read. They were still breaking down the bleachers and corporate tents from the tournament from a few weeks ago, as you can see in one of the photos, hole #18. Dumb decisions left a couple of balls in that pond. At least someone will enjoy a couple of Prov1s down the road. But fun was had by all, at least me. Hope to do it again. Cheers, Chuck.....
