Cannot beat staying at the Kiawah resort in Charleston, SC. Great courses and of course what Charleston is noted for, the restaurants and fresh seafood. Love to have you come by our local muni which is rated #19 muni in the US and enjoy our little not so well kept secret. I play there three days a week with my senior retirees. A Seth Raynor influenced redesign in 2019. The little greens are fast and bunkers are deep and plentiful/painful. I have played all the Kiawah courses many times and the Ocean Course is one of my favorites, worldwide. Team Titleist honored us with a visit there in recent years. The Ocean Course runs along the Ocean and is a must has has been tamed since the 1991 Ryder Cup, making it much easier. Osprey is a great course and Cougar is fun.

A little bit of heaven in Pinehurst, NC. My personal favorite resort, where they treat you like family. We have had two Team Titleist events there. I would highly recommend playing 2,4,8. Would be my first choice.

A visit to Jacksonville is worthy of making the list as well. The TPC at Ponte Verde where they have two courses, The Players and the Pete Dye. A great venue. TT has visited these courses as well.

You can look at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. The trail spans the state of Alabama, is economical in the spring and the courses are different from each other and great to play.

Agree on the RTJ Trail - have played Ross Bridge a number of times as well as Oxmoor Valley and Ridge. Hilton Head is also a great option. Sea Pines and Palmetto Dunes offer terrific course options. And of course Harbour Town is a favorite.

If you have never played Pinehurst, they usually run some good deals in the early spring as the weather can still be a bit cool. Call them and ask if they are doing the Titleist special again this year.

Love the Pinehurst area. 9 quality choices (plus Thistle Dhu and the Cradle) at the Resort itself, with Pine Needles, Mid Pines, Southern Pines, Tobacco Road, Talamore minutes away. Great golf. Great history.

Also highly recommend Hilton Head Island.

No matter where you go, you need to start booking soon if you are talking this year. I've been playing around and have found that most big resorts (in the NC/SC area) are close to booked up. It is getting close to the time when all the people in the snow belt head south for their golf fix. If all else fails, there is always Myrtle beach. Plenty of courses and lodging options.

Myrtle Beach! Legends has 3 on site courses. Heathland, Parkland and Moorland. 2 off-site (heritage and oyster bay). Great golf.

I also live in Pittsburgh. I have been to pinehurst two years in a row and I’d go back every single year if I could. We have played Tobacco Road, pine needles, pinehurst No. 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 and every course was pristine. The packages they offer…paired with the food, quality of courses and how friendly everyone was makes the place special. Anyone that golf’s should make at least one trip down there. I cannot speak highly enough of the place from start to finish.
