As I'm sure you already know, you need to plan at least a year in advance, and you will have to stay at the Lodge (2 night minimum) in order to play Pebble. Since you're spending that kind of money and already staying there, you might as well do the full experience of Spyglass (better than Pebble IMO) and Spanish Bay.

Sounds like a great trip! I can't help with #1, but have a few thoughts for #2 and #3.

#2 - Many people like Spyglass and it's worth consideration, but I prefer Spanish Bay. There are many ocean view holes with some in the woods in the middle. It can get windy sometimes. Some might suggest "pool man's Pebble" - Pacific Grove Muni. The back-9 there is nice, but I would skip it and play Poppy Hills. It is inland, but a much better golf experience in my opinion. If you want to venture a bit farther away, you could consider Pasatiempo (about 45 minutes north of Pebble Beach). It is an Alister MacKenzie design, but the back-9 is closed through November 2024 to redo bunkers and greens.

#3 - The summer months can be cool and foggy along the California coast with day time highs in the high 50's or low 60's. I like the early fall - September and October and that's what I would target for a trip like this.

I definitely would add Spyglass hill. Might get you best rates thru Pebble Beach online. The weather changes a lot out there during the year.

I agree with Chuck, spyglass is one of my favorites and definitely worth considering! The weather can be the best during the summer months IMHO

If you cant make Spyglass, Poppy Hills is a great option!

Would put Spyglass on the list with PB. Spanish Bay is ok but they are coming up on a redesign - so might be best to wait until after. If looking to squeeze in a little more, go Pacific Grove - the back nine is cool (yes, PoorMan's Pebble). Have heard the redesign of Poppy Hills came out really well - although have not played it yet. Bayonet & Black Horse (36 holes) in Seaside (20mins away) is public usually with lots of mid-week times available.
April/May through October are usually good with mid-summer being the best. Winter (Nov-Mar) is hit & miss with cold, rain and wind all possible/probable.
Be sure the agenda includes drinks at sunset while the Bagpiper plays at Spanish Bay.

I go annually the last week of November or first week of December. Normally I plan a year in advance and I’m able to get 9am-10 tee times. Temp is usually in the high 50’s to 60’s during the round.

Pebble and Spy are the obvious courses to play, but if you need a third, Poppy Hills is one of the best there. Spanish Bay is nice too, Carmel Valley Ranch is nice and even Pacific Grove is a cool muni.

Back nine on Pacific Grove is awesome view (some pictures below). My favorite is Spyglass.

Here are a few great tips!

1. Find out the maintenance schedule for Pebble. You can book on the last couple days of recovery and save some CA$H!!!
We did this last year and Saved a ton!!! Course was Immaculate and we had zero issues with the greens.

2. If plan on playing more than 2 rounds you can stay on property 2 nights and then book the Hyatt Regency Monterey at Del Monte for all the other nights...we booked the Hyatt for 2 nights then the Lodge for 2 nights then back to the Hyatt.
We played Spanish on Tuesday, Spyglass on Wednesday, Pebble on Thursday.

3. Definitely Call about the reduced rate rooms and green fees during those slow periods.

I only live 1 hr. & 20 minutes to PB and have been going to the Monterey Peninsula for 30+ years. I’d say the best months weather wise is August - October. June and July can have the most foggy days. Besides the courses mentioned Quail Lodge isn’t too bad and is always in pristine condition.
Sometimes Pebble Beach Resorts will have some type of stay & play packages.
You don’t have to stay at The Lodge you can stay at Spanish Bay which is a little cheaper than The Lodge.

Yes - agree - was there once in June and it was quite foggy . 66 and very humid until it started to burn off . For a third course I found Spanish Bay to be better than I thought it would be - very scenic . As someone mentioned there will be a rework - not sure when that starts - but don’t miss the piper at 5pm

I agree with AB..the best times on the northern CA coast are spring and fall. You'll most likely miss rain in the summer months, but the fog could be thick (think prior US Opens played in June). I would add Spyglass since you will be in the area. Outside of the 17 Mile Drive area, I like the Bayonet and Blackhorse courses; you're not "on the ocean" but there are nice views of Monterey Bay.

Pebble is a great trip, expect the round to generally take forever. Too many gazers and photo op's that are "once in a lifetime" for most, Worth it though, the area is a wonderful place!
