I have the 52 and 56 degree vokey wedges in the bag at present. Having worked on my short game with a good young pro at Morecambe, he suggested simpy opening the face of my 56 when needed is enough and it works for me. I have 13 clubs in the bag at present but i'm not sure if its worth adding a 60 degree vokey, Any thoughts guys pete
  2. Pete, in the summer I find I can get away with just the 2 wedges, 52 and 56, as you tend to get fluffier lies and can open up the 56 and slide it under the ball. In the winter I change the 4 wood for my 60 which I find a lot easier to nip the ball off those horrible bare winter lies, danger is if you try doing this with a 56 opened up you expose the sole of the club and struggle to get underneath, and end up thinning it. 3. I like the 60 and even the 64. I find when I want to play a higher shot I would rather use a higher lofted club as opposed to opening the face (which with most wedges also increases the bounce).

If you have space for a 60 there would certainly be no harm in trying. Just make sure you get the model/ bounce etc
