On my newly acquired D2 driver there is a small dial on the base just to the left of the "Titleist" name. This must be a stupid question, but does this have any significance as the "SureFit" wrench fits this hole too?

Hi Chris,
This is what is known as an "on-axis rear weight screw", which enables us to create a low and deep centre of gravity for increased stability and distance. It also enables the swingweight of your 910 to be adjusted, should you need to, by purchasing an adjustable weight kit from your pro or retailer.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Neil - so I guess if my Titleist fitter didn't mention this during my shaft fitting, that my swing just wouldn't really benefit from it. Is it something which is the exception rather than the rule? Tx, Chris
Swingweights are a matter of personal preference - some players maybe like to "feel" the clubhead a little more through the swing and might ask to move up a swingweight or vice-versa. Also, adjusting the swingweight up can help to lower the launch angle and, therefore, the flight of the ball.
However, I would imagine that your fitter was comfortable with the launch angle / flight that you were getting from your 910 D2 based on the shaft and head combination and did not feel that the swingweight needed adjusting.
Hope that this clarifies.
