    Hi there,

Could you tell me the head weights of the new scotty putters in a 33" length. The two i am interested in are the Newport 1.5 and the newport 2 notchback. Cant see the weights on the titleist site. Also i know i can send the putter to the scotty custom shop after i buy it to get heavier weights in. I.e. the 30gram weights. Could these not be put in the putter at the titleist factory on ordering the putter to save it being sent away later. Noticed on the site that the heaviest available are the 20grams in the 33" putter. Just love the finish on the new putters but really want it heavier after trying them both. Thanks.

    Brett

    Hi Brett,

The weights in the 33" putters are 20g weights - which is the heaviest weight available without going through the Scotty Cameron Custom Shop.

The H versions of putters are only ever available in 34" or 35" (which move from 15g to 20g and 10g to 15g respectively) I'm afraid.

    Thanks

    - Neil

  3. Hi Neil,

I have a 33" centre-shafted GoLo and would like to try it with 15g weights instead of the 20g.  Would this be problematic from your POV, since it is not one of the options offered?  Also, am I right to assume that I would have to send it through a Titleist pro back to you for the weights to be changed, and then if I decided to revert back to the original 20g weights, I would have to go through the whole process again?

    Many thanks,

    (Also) Neil!

    Hi Neil,

Because of the way the putters are constructed, the weights are calculated according to overall swingweight. In Scotty's opinion, there is a minimum weight the putter needs to be, but if so desired a slightly heavier putter may work and so there is the H version. However, we wouldn't adjust a putter down a weight.

    Hope that clarifies.
